Megan Walls is a nationally renowned job coach and author. She is the founder Walls Career Coaching and co-founder of Jump-Start the Job Search. Walls Career Coaching addresses clients’ career needs and helps them unlock their full potential and achieve happiness in their work and at their work.
She received a B.A. in Economics from DePauw University in Greencastle, attended the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) and is a member of the International Coaching Federation.

I became a career coach after taking my own career journey. Prior to coaching, I built a highly successful, 20-year career in the municipal bond industry. I learned the business from the ground up eventually becoming my company's first female partner. In 2004, my business successes no longer felt personally fulfilling and a certain passion was missing. At the same time, my work and personal life were out of balance. Work was great, yet I felt very disconnected from family and myself. So, I retired in 2005.
Because I had not prepared myself for this transition, I found it extremely difficult. During this time, I enrolled in the iPEC coaching program and found my passion for helping others in their careers. I joined the International Coaching Federation and became a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). I have been a successful coach since 2008, helping:
- College grads entering the job market
- Professionals in job transition
- Individuals looking to make a career change
- Executives wanting to advance in their careers or enhance their leadership skills

The “inside” refers to helping clients get clear on who they are, what they want in their careers, and the value they bring to an organization. I use customized tools and special assessments to give clients this insight and deepen their understanding of what they have to offer.
The “out” refers to helping clients set realistic goals, create an action plan, and build momentum. I serve as their accountability partner to accelerate their career success.
