“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
— Confucius

It was back in June of 2004. I had had the best day of my career, a day I had been dreaming of. I had sold the most number of municipal bonds in one day and grossed what I would normally gross in two months!

Yet, I remember walking to the train that night thinking:

  • Why don’t I feel happier?

  • Why do I feel so empty and unfulfilled?

  • Is this all there is… selling bonds and making money?

It was that pivotal day that I decide to leave the bond business and search for answers; answers to questions such as Who am I? How do I find myself? What fulfills me? What am I good at? What is my life’s purpose? I read many self-help books, attended personal growth seminars, went to a healer, a therapist, tried meditation, and journaled. Doing all of this was exhausting!

Perhaps the answers wouldn’t come from the outside, I thought; perhaps I needed to go within.

So I was excited when I discovered coaching. The coaching program I went through proved to be good for my own personal journey and sparked a new passion in me to help others who found themselves feeling the same way. I remembered that I had often wished I’d had someone to talk to who would help me manage challenging work situations and guide me through the twists and turns I was experiencing, personally and professionally. I became thrilled by the idea of being that person for others.

And so I became an executive and leadership coach after a successful 20-year career in sales in the municipal bond business.  I am excited that I can be someone others turn to for help and I especially love to help high-achieving professionals be successful; realize and believe in their unique talents and abilities and boost their confidence to thrive in their careers and stay true to themselves.

After feeling overwhelmed, lost and alone in my sales career and constantly questioning my abilities and suffering from Imposter Syndrome, I now know that we must be as aware of what’s going on in the inside as well as the outside. We cannot be successful in our careers or our lives if we are not self-aware and proactive in understanding what really makes us tick.

I’ve made it my mission to coach and support other professionals as they get to know themselves better and I created my unique “Inside-Out Process” to help them navigate their careers and stay true to themselves.

When I’m not coaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love cooking, baking, trying new recipes and finding new restaurants. On weekends you can often find me running, hiking a trail or riding my bike as I love being active and being outdoors. Traveling to new places and exploring different cities and cultures feeds my sense of adventure, as does finding a new coffee shop that has a great cup of coffee.

How about you? Are you ready to start the conversation about your own career and needs?
